A Look Inside A Rig

Screenshot of what the setup looks like in 3D Studio Max for a facial GUI system without the use of morph targets. In this particular rig, there are over 300 pieces in the facial setup alone.

Spy With The Fly Tie Animation

Another animation of one of my rigs. My friend, Alex DiMichele is also creating a demo reel for animation and asked to let him use my rig to animate. This is the result of his amazing work. After taking this character from concept, to finished rig, and now a final animation, Alex and I present our work in motion.

Dirty Dancing Dan (D3)

Just a few pics I made while playing around with one of the newest rigs I have been working on. The name of the character is D3, short for Dirty Dancing Dan. His rig was the first rig I have ever created using a facial GUI that did not rely on morph targets at all. Another first for this character was that it was the first time I have ever applied secondary motion controls to a rig that could be turned on and off. It was quite a challenge, but I believe the results were worth it.

Smart Pack Jacc Lip Sync Animation

My friend and fellow animation graduate, Lou Rupinsky recently showed me a playblast of his animation of Smart Pack Jacc from my demo reel. I always get a thrill from seeing my work in action, and he did not disappoint.
